Sharing your content with the world is easy!

Streaming content is very popular these days whether you're a gamer or not. There are plenty of 'In-Real-Life' and creative streams out there and being able to navigate the broadcasting program and incorporate design and animation into your channel is something you need experience to do. I've set up multiple personal streams as well as many customer channels and business channels on Twitch.tv using Open Broadcaster Software and XSplit Broadcaster. Setting up these streams includes creating branding and overlays for the channel, ensuring that resolution, bitrate, and frames per second are optimized, setting up sources from PC/capture card and audio, creating a easily used 'hotkey' system to maintain control of the broadcast, and pulling live channel metrics via HTML/JavaScript into the broadcast.

At the risk of sounding cheesy, setting up a good broadcast requires the designer to be the 'conductor' of the source 'symphony', ensuring that all the pieces (audio, visual, data metrics, animations) are working together to provide a rich and interesting broadcast experience. Some people are able to accomplish a professional static overlay, but with video production experience in the mix I've been able to incorporate layer animation and really take the channels to the next level.
